CONVERSATIONS BEYOND THE DEGREE
_edited.jpg)
Sharece’s work extends beyond performance and film into academic spaces, where she engages students in dialogue around storytelling, advocacy, and real-world application.
She has been featured as a table host for Conversations Beyond the Degree: Black History Month Dinner
at the Biden Institute at University of Delaware hosted by Valerie Biden-Owens (2024, 2025)
—an annual event that brings together students and leaders across industries for
mentorship, conversation, and shared insight.
Through opportunities like this, Sharece contributes to shaping conversations at the intersection of arts, advocacy, and community engagement within higher education.

THE OPIOID CRISIS HITS THE STAGE
Featured in Arts Paper, this article highlights Matthew Rising as a powerful intersection of theatre, public health, and community storytelling.
Premiering at Long Wharf Theatre (Stage II) the work brings the realities of the opioid crisis into a deeply human, lived experience—using performance to explore addiction, systemic failure, and the impact on families and communities.
Developed in collaboration with public health and community partners, the project reflects Sharece’s commitment to using storytelling as a tool for education, awareness, and social change.
