  • SCHOOL PLAYS (3rd grade - high school)

Want us to come in and put on an awesome school play production from our selection of 6 youth plays with your youth? We work with school day and after-school programs to bring our plays to life. Most of our plays were developed and produced at an elementary school and a community theater with large cast sizes ranging from 20-30 children each! We know what it takes to put on a successful production and we want to help you make your youth shine as they enjoy their literacy-through-the-arts experience. Rates vary depending on program needs.

What to Know Before Booking Us to Produce a Play:

  1. It generally takes 3-4 months to run rehearsals @ 1-2 sessions per week.

  2. Schools must come equipped with sound. Lights are a plus.

  3. We may send one or two Teaching Artists depending on your program needs and cast size.

  4. A school staff member must be present/available while rehearsals are conducted in case of emergency.

  5. Some costumes are provided and the rest are provided by the school. One way to take care of costumes is to include parent participation i.e. parents provide costume(s) for their child(ren) OR fundraisers to purchase costumes (DonorsChoose.org is a great option for school crowd funding).

  6. The students will need additional time some days before the show (tech week).

  7. A date right before a week vacation is an ideal time to schedule your play date(s).

  8. We will travel within Connecticut only (at this time).

  9. You may want to work with your Art Department to create the set. We can meet with your team to develop this.

  10. We love collaborating with other departments in the school setting i.e. Art, Music, Wood Shop, etc...

  11. You can charge for tickets at no additional cost. This fee is built into the Residency rate.

  12. You will need to order enough Playbooks for the entire cast (about 30 for most).

  13. A deposit is required to book. The remaining balance is due the day before the show.
